Yay! I Have a Plan

by admin on May 15, 2009

I finally have a firm idea about what I’m going to do with this site and when I’m going to launch it.

YAY.

I love Darren’s 31 Days to a Better Blog (not sure if that’s really what it was called). Considering I want this to be primarily a blog about business, mine specifically, both following and articulating the plan laid out by Darren would be a tremendous way to get things off the ground. I can even eventually release it as an e-book for subscribers to the newsletter.

It’s a solid idea, it makes me happy, and it gives me a clear direction. One thing I’ve known I always wanted from this site is a clear speech, unfettered by the over editing that must go into every Writer Dad post. I think of the writing at this site more like an email, minus the sprinkling of four letter words.

I’ve always needed a place to talk business and I am itchy to get this blog out of the closet. This will give me around six weeks of content by the time I start dropping it in public, a good head start on what I want to accomplish (including posts for the bank) and further progress and a clearer idea about the direction of the various projects currently messying my desk.

To the twelve of you reading, I imagine I’ll probably have to pause these daily quickies, to make way for the minutes I need to do the 31 days, but I’ll post those as I get them and I’ll likely do a link round-up of all my writing at the end of each week. Probably on Fridays.

Hi Sean,

Love this concept. Love it!

I’m glad you’re editing out the four letter words, I’m of a delicate disposition. :)

Dave! Welcome to my fortress of solitude! This is gonna be a big bag of grins and giggles until I have to reel it in and make it all serious. I’ll keep the swearing to the emails. I’m not big enough to get away with it. : > )
