I adore what Dave and I are doing at the Inkwell. The creativity tips are terrific and the beautiful blog building is wonderful as well. If I had to pick a favorite element to the already exciting site, however, I don’t think I’d have to think to long and hard.
Serial and Milk: Available Darkness.
Available Darkness is the Inkwell’s serialized fiction that has a fresh installment each Friday. Available Darkness is a horror serial, about vampires to put a fine point on it, but my affection for the tale has nothing to do with the subject matter. It’s all about the best of what the Inkwell stands for – active collaboration.
Long after the two of us no longer need the daily billboard that is the Inkwell, our projects will have borne quite a bit of fruit. Available Darkness is the soil where the first seeds of our conjoined writing are planted. We have every intention of nurturing this particular garden and seeing what flourishing vegetation the garden produces.
Television, hardback, trashy pulp paperback – all would be fine with me. For right now I’m quite honestly content to settle with the smiling fact that Dave and I are right now writing the no doubt best online fiction I’ve yet to read.
Available Darkness shouldn’t be missed. We’re up to installment six as of this Friday. Last Friday is where the story dipped into the pitch black of midnight. This Friday… all I can say is, “Darkness is good.”
